  • What happens if there is bad weather?
Due to the nature of the Caribbean, the weather systems come and go very quickly and we have very little to no problems due to last minute weather. Should there be a need to cancel your flight we do our best to reschedule or provide an alternative.
  • Flying a Twin Engine vs a Single Engine Helicopter
Twin-engine helicopter designs are adopted for safety and not only in redundancy.
  • A Step Above in Safety Standards
Caribbean Buzz Helicopters is an approved FAA 135 operator. We operate an H145 D3 helicopter. The H145 accommodates 2 pilots plus 8 passengers. Caribbean Buzz Helicopters adheres to stringent safety quality and environmental standards. We uphold the highest standards of professionalism, privacy, and reliability. Our pilots are incident and violation free and have over 50 years of aviation experience. Caribbean Buzz uses industry leading equipment maintenance programs and has conservative operating protocols. Additionally we send our H145 helicopter to AIRBUS approved maintenance facilities each year on the US Mainland for all annual checks. Caribbean Buzz has a Safety Inspector to perform both in-person and remote audits for checking safety, standardization, operations, as well as has staff working on safety management systems. (SMS Program)
  • Crew Training
Caribbean Buzz sends all our pilots to annual AIRBUS training. Ground Crew is also trained in the best safety practices.
  • Passenger Security and Luggage
All passengers must supply a valid government ID for check-in at all departure points. Caribbean Buzz verifies the names of all passengers, records flier weight, and determines the dimensions and weight of baggage to ensure that they fall within the specifications of the operator and FAA mandates. Pilots make the final determinations based on these assessments. Caribbean Buzz trains all of its on-the-ground representatives and pilots in "fit-to-fly" passenger assessments. We reserve the right to prohibit passengers from flying who are unruly, intoxicated, disruptive, or otherwise unfit to fly in the sole determination of Caribbean Buzz and/or its operators. Cigarette smoking, electronic cigarette smoking, and vaping are prohibited in our aircraft or surrounding aircraft vicinities.
  • Where can I find your prices?
Please send us an e-mail with details about what you would like to do, the number of passengers, and the dates and times you have in mind for a flight and we will answer you with a quote shortly.
  • Can we take photos during the flight?
Definitely! Our aircraft has excellent visibility out all windows. This aircraft has huge windows making it great for tours and charters and provides all passengers with wide and open views. Door windows are “bubble” observation windows that make it easy to look out and down.
  • How many passengers can you take?
We have an H145 twin engine helicopter which seats up to 8 passengers.
  • Can we fly with other passengers?
For our private charters we don’t place passengers together, but you can find others willing to share! For a shared ride to or from St. Thomas and St. John please see the current schedule.
  • Are your quoted prices one way or roundtrip?
All quoted prices are one-way unless we specifically quote a roundtrip.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Unless otherwise specified, the following cancellation terms apply: 50% of the total amount is refundable for cancellations received 48 hours prior to the day of travel. 24 hours prior to travel, the full amount will become non-refundable. *Operating charters between November 15th and April 15th, Holidays, and Special Events: flights are subject to 50% cancelation fee of quoted charter amount, if canceled 30 days prior to the scheduled departure date, and 100% of quoted charter price, if canceled there after. In the event the charter is canceled due to customers failure to appear, 100% of the charter quoted amount is due.
  • I’m a helicopter pilot. Do you have dual controls in the aircraft so I can fly too?
Due to insurance rules and FAA regulations, all flights must be conducted by our pilots.
  • Can you do custom excursions?
Yes! We can hand-tailor a custom excursion to meet your needs. Please e-mail or call and let us know what you’re thinking about!
